- Sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body)
- Difficulty speaking or understanding words or simple sentences
- Sudden blurred vision or decreased vision in one or both eyes
- Difficulty swallowing
- Dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- Brief loss of consciousness
- Sudden inability to move part of the body (paralysis)
- Sudden, unexplainable and intense headache

Think FAST when you see stroke...
The clock is ticking when someone develops stroke-like symptoms.
There is a narrow window of opportunity (3 hours) for the person suffering a stroke to get the specialized treatment they need to reduce or reverse the effects of stroke.
- Face – Face weakness on one side
- Arm – Arm drifts or drops when held in front of the body
- Speech – Speech is slurred, unintelligible
- Time of onset – When was the person last seen without symptoms?
So think FAST when you see signs of stroke!
