Board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Barbati has been a practicing physician for more than 20 years and recently relocated to Brevard County after spending the last 15 years in Martin County, FL.

"In college, I enrolled in the Medical Technology program and with that interest, I had a desire to keep learning. I always enjoyed medical pathology. Gastroenterology is a cross between medicine and surgery, so I found this particular sub-speciality very fascinating," said Barbati. Well versed in endoscopic procedures, Dr. Barbati is currently accepting gastroenterology patients.

Past president of the Martin County Medical Society, Dr. Barbati spent two years performing missionary work in Latin America, and as an instructor in Panama and Nicaragua for a program similar to Doctors Without Borders. "I enjoyed traveling abroad and bringing my expertise and skills to medically deprived countries of the world so their physicians could deliver quality medical care for the enhancement of its population’s health," continued Barbati. He also was commissioned by the Australian Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons for the position of chief/chairman of the department of gastroenterology in both government and private sectors in Queensland.

Serving patients ages 21 and older, Dr. Barbati looks forward to continuing his legacy of quality, compassionate care in Brevard.
