Dr. Prasad is passionate about cardiology; he knew within his first two years of medical school that he wanted to focus on this speciality. "My interest in cardiology is the ability to acutely diagnose and manage one of the nation's leading killers,"remarked Prasad.
His strong work ethic and interest in medicine was formed in early childhood. "My mother was a practicing surgeon -- I used to follow her around and saw her desire to help those who were suffering," continued Prasad. "She then gave up medicine to raise her family. At the age of fifty, she completed her residency and returned to family practice. My mother’s determination and drive is my inspiration to be a successful physician, husband and father."
Board Certified in General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Prasad recently joined Brevard Cardiology Group (BCG), a local group providing heart care to Brevard County residents for more than 20 years. A physician for nine years, he is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography Interventions and American College of Cardiology. Dr. Prasad’s focus also includes peripheral vascular disease and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Prasad is now accepting new patients. For more information, please call 321-449-4175.
